Natasha Vita-More is an artist, designer, and a philosopher of
‘transhumanism,’ an intellectual movement that advocates the boundless
improvement of the human condition through science and technology. She has been
described by the New York Times as
“the first female transhumanist philosopher.” She is also the chairwoman for
Humanity+ (former World Transhumanist Association), the largest formal
transhumanist organization.
She is the author of The
Transhumanist Reader –Classical and Contemporary Essays on the Science,
Technology and Philosophy of the Human Future, an authoritative and
comprehensive book in the field of transhumanism.
As an artist and designer, Natasha actively discusses
transhumanism ideologies in her creative artwork. Her many unique artworks have
been featured in numerous media outlets including Wired, The New York Times, MIT Technology Review, and U.S. News & World Report.
